There is a lot of misinformation out there regarding Covid-19 vaccines. There is a misconception that once you get vaccinated, you don’t have to wear a mask. First of all, none of the vaccines are 100% effective so you can still get Covid. You should continue mask-wearing and social distancing. Even though you may be protected to some extent from the virus, you may carry the virus without knowing it and transmit the virus to someone at risk of dying from the virus. New Covid variants are surfacing each day. Currently, there are at least six known variants out there. They include variants from China, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, UK, and India and others are arising. Booster vaccine shots and new variant vaccines may be necessary to protect the public at large. It is unclear whether the current Covid 19 vaccines can protect us from variants. Our holistic doctors recommend wearing a face mask and social distancing after vaccination. Unfortunately, most pharmacies and doctor’s offices do not give adequate and clear instructions on how to behave after your vaccine and what protections should be continued. We recommend following current CDC guidelines.
